     Cow day one year ago     

The Cow Day, celebration of the most usefull animal on the World.

      Here is possible to play or download video with a part of Vedic ritual performed by priests to celebrate cows. Video file size is 6 MB. Today (January 16th 2008) the Pogal - most joyful holiday continues and many people perform similar partyfor their cows. Cows don't work today, but they have bath, then are decorated with edible things and a feast is prepared for them from different human delicates. Cows are fed and have rest after performing the ceremony.
      Pongal is Tamil National Food and all celebration is dedicated to Gods (cows aro Gods too), as thanks for lashings given to people.
