Miracles

"Someone visualizes It as a wonder; and similarly indeed, someone else talks of It as a wonder; and someone else hears of It as a wonder. And some one else, indeed, does not realise It even after hearing about It. " Bhagavadgita 2.29.

аааааSeeing the world as a mere imagination created by the mind, a miracle is just another thought that has penetrated the imagination somehow. Therefore, no perception of a miracle, vision or clairvoyance are different from an ordinary perception. Visions of gods, contact with spirits, visions of light at the end of a tunnel during the so-called near-death experiences, are all just thoughts. People do not believe visions of alcoholics or drug addicts, but they will swear by an experience of a mind inside a body that has not worked properly for a long time and is nearly dead. Nobody asks, "Who sees the tunnel?" which would lead them directly to the recognition "I am not the body", instead, they mess around the question, "What is it that I can see?"
аааааSome people's minds are much more suggestible, and therefore the images they experience are richer in visions than those of people with more stable minds. Essentially, all the strange and improbable phenomena are caused by a mind that is disturbed in some way. All that I perceive in my imagination are but thoughts that come and go. They are depend partially upon information from the senses, but totally reliant upon the mind's processing.
аааааFor the same reason, the intake of all intoxicants represents a mere modification to the process of the mind's imaging. A sober imagination of the world is replaced with an imagination produced by an intoxicated mind. Whoever tries to find something miraculous or special in such imagination is an ignorant and often very unhappy person.
аааааThe only real miracle in this world is a realisation of the real state of things. Realisation of how the mind works and how it produces the imagination of the world. Who reaches this and rises from the imagination to its source, reaches the only real miracle. Such a person then liberates themselves from the imagination and abides in their true Self, in infinite happiness, indescribable bliss, and true knowledge.
